Does anyone have any good, inexpensive ideas for couples halloween costumes?

Were having a halloween party and we want to have costumes that go together but would rather not buy them, they can be expensive. Does anyone have any inexpensive ideas?

Go to your local thrift store and check out the clothes! You can find everything from king and queen of the disco to k&q of the rodeo!
You can get an old ladies house dress that will fit your hubby and find a grey wig put pink curlers in it, use small beach balls or water balloons to give him a saggy old lady chest! you can put them in a t-shirt and just have him tuck it in to his pants that way they will sit down on his waist! And you can dress up as an old man you can get a balding head wig for about $10, baggy polyester pants and suspenders or a wild color polyester leisure suit at the thrift store.
We have hit the thrift stores, before the regular stores, for years and usually end up with stuff for great costumes. One year my son got a 3 piece pinstripe suit for $8 and went as a gangster, his gf got a dress that looked like a flapper for $4 and we added some beaded trim and feather spent a total of $15 on her dress and they were the cuteste gangster and his moll you have ever seen! They won best costume, actually they won 2yrs in a row, and in thrift store finds!

Harry Potter costume for Halloween :) ?

I want to be Harry Potter for halloween I have glasses….lighting bolt…scarf but I don’t know where to get the jacket thingy…?
BTW I am a girl 🙂
…Or how could I make one?

It would be easiest to wear a maroon sweater (since maroon is one of the colors of Gryfindor) and a black cape. Don’t buy the Halloween costumes. It looks way more original (and less cheesy) to make your own.

How can I make 'smoke' come from a goblet of wine/drink? – Halloween party ideas!?

Hi All,

I am having a halloween party and would love to create the effect of a smoking glass of wine (like Morticia in the Adams Family has!)

Does anyone know what you put into the glass to create this effect? Is it a chemical of some kind?

Also, any other cool ideas welcome!
Thanks

Dry ice works well.

In food styling, we use a tampon that has been soaked in water and microwaved until steaming. We hide it behind the food and the steam looks like the food is yummy hot!!!

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent wizard Harry Potter, together with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, his friends from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The central story arc concerns Harry’s struggle against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry’s parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world and subjugate non-magical (Muggle) people to his rule. Several successful derivative films, video games and other themed merchandise have been based upon the series.

Advice for a Harry Potter costume?

[ad#Harry Potter Scar Make Up]

[ad#Harry Potter Light Up Wand]

[ad#Harry Potter Glasses]

[ad#Hedwig the owl]

Halloween is coming closer and I’d like to go all out on a Harry Potter costume. I plan on dying my hair black, wearing green contact lenses and glasses, and putting a scar on my forehead. But beyond that I don’t know what to do.

Any ideas? I’d like to keep this somewhat cheap if I can. I have black graduation robes I could wear, or I could buy "official" robes. Then there’s the tie, or the sweater, or even a stuffed owl. I just want some ideas, thanks!

On eBay or maybe Forbidden Planet you might be able to get a Gryffindor Pin + Tie for your robes. If you have a white shirt, and black sweater and some black throusers and shoes, that’s really all you need.

Maybe get a broomstick or a wand? That’d add to the effect.
Me and my friend were thinking of getting 2 more people together and going as Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin 🙂
